Questions
Is the Useless Client free?
Yes. The launcher, the client, all built-in mods and the cosmetics are free.
Can I get banned on servers for using it?
The Useless Client only has mods that servers allow – no cheats, no unfair advantages. Cheat mods are blocked by the built-in anti-cheat. Always follow the rules of the server you play on.
Do I need to install Java or Fabric?
No. The launcher downloads the right Java, Minecraft and Fabric for every version on its own.
Is my Microsoft account safe?
You sign in directly with Microsoft. Your password never reaches us, and your sign-in is only stored on your own computer.
I run a server. Can I check what mods my players use?
Yes – with the free Useless Anti-Cheat plugin for Paper servers.
