Useless Anti-Cheat

A free plugin for Paper servers. Every Useless Client player tells your server which mods they use the moment they join – and anyone with a mod you do not allow is kicked, with the reason.

Your own ban list

Drop any mod's .jar into a folder. It is recognised by its ID and its fingerprint – renaming the file does not help.

Checked in a second

The check runs right after joining. Players with a forbidden mod see exactly why: "Kicked by Useless Anti-Cheat – No Freecam".

Zero setup

Works out of the box with a sensible default list. No database, no extra ports, no account.

Install in 3 steps

  1. Put useless-anticheat-1.0.0.jar into your server's plugins/ folder and restart.
  2. Add the mods you do not allow: copy their .jar files into plugins/UselessAntiCheat/not-allowed-mods/ – or list their IDs in config.yml.
  3. Run /uac reload. Done.

Make it yours

Turn on require-useless-client and only Useless Client players can join your server.

Use blocked-features to disable Useless Client features from joining until the player leaves, without a kick. The default is freecam, which blocks Freecam, Freelook, Camera and Snaplook. You can also use freelook, minimap, xray (the light-level display) or any Useless Client mod ID.

Use allowed-features to explicitly allow features. Built-in Freecam (F6) normally works only in singleplayer; add freecam here and remove it from blocked-features to allow it on your server.

Warnings & strikes

The Useless Client checks your mods every time the game starts. Trying to sneak in a cheat mod has consequences – and they add up.

What counts as an attempt?

Starting the game with a mod that is clearly a cheat: a known cheat client, a blocked mod ID or a mod from the official ban list. Mods that only look suspicious are blocked, but never give a strike.

Can a server owner give me strikes?

No. The plugin can only kick you from that one server. Strikes come only from the Useless Client itself.

I think my ban is a mistake.

Write to [email protected] with your Minecraft name. Every ban can be checked and lifted by hand.
